ACTIVITIES DIRECTORS,

“What can we do for you?”

WORDS FROM FR. CHRIS HERMAN

Hello and welcome!
We understand the tough calling you have, full of both joys and sorrows.  Our calling is to help you. We seek to love everyone touched by the existence of each nursing home we adopt.  Moreover, we want to help churches connect with nursing homes everywhere else.
We are able to offer to you consistency.  We endeavor to be faithful.  My wife and I began 25 years ago by visiting one person; and over time we began to offer a weekly worship service.  Now, we make pastoral care available.  Our approach is holistic.  We love everyone, rejecting none.  Our desire is to always be a neighbors upon whom you can depend.
If you’re interested in a deeper conversation, please let me know.  Our telephone number is (937) 424-8624 and our email is info@lazarusmission.org

We Really Know Our Volunteers (Click for More)

You care about this and so do we.

We care about people and want nobody to every be at risk of harm.  We have risk reduction policies in place to such as making sure the staff always knows when we are present.  We never entering a room without permission.  When we do enter a room, we always leave the door open, and so forth.  Almost all of our visits are in public gathering spaces in the first place, and this is on purpose. None of us goes anywhere without proper supervision and authorization.  In 25 years we have never had any incident of any kind, and we take our reputation seriously.

As an Activities Director, you doubtless care whether we have thought about this matter.  And, we have.  We will obey your facility’s guidelines, too.

We are Glad to Provide You With a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) (Click for More)

Sometimes it is a good idea to make sure everyone understands what to expect.  It is not a problem for us to make committments in writing.  This will allow you to hold us accountable to do what we say we will do.  We are glad to state clearly what you can depend upon us to do, and even to build into our mutual understanding a time of testing after which we can reevaluate how things are going, make adjustments, and so forth.

Our Ministry is Free of Charge (Click for More)

We NEVER take up a collection at any service or at any other time.  Our ministry to the residents, family, and staff is completely funded by supporters from OUTSIDE the facilities we serve.  Our ministry is ALWAYS COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE.
